Bridget Hoffmann is an applied microeconomist with research interests in environmental economics and development economics, particularly in Latin America.
Within these fields, she focuses on air pollution and social protection programs. She studies the impacts of air pollution on health, labor market, well-being and other outcomes, policies to improve air quality, and informational interventions. She studies methods to improve the targeting of social protection programs, the design of social protection programs, and their ability to improve financial inclusion and resilience.
She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University and her B.A. in Financial Economics and Mathematics from the University of Rochester.
