Brooks School State Policy Advocacy Clinic
Put policy analysis and design skills into problem-solving practice while working with state and local leaders on a range of initiatives, all with a goal of improving lives.
Capital Semester
Experience a paid internship in the New York State Legislature while earning Cornell credit. Discover how to improve state policies and laws, whether your interest is health care, the environment, education or elsewhere.
Cornell in Washington
Live and go to class in the heart of Washington D.C. at the Cornell Wolpe Center located in Dupont Circle. Secure an internship at the White House, on Capitol Hill, or in government and nonprofit offices and agencies.
DC Start
The Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy is pleased to announce DC Start, a distinctive new residential academic experience offered to first year Brooks School undergraduate students in their fall semester. Housed at the Brooks School’s Wolpe Center in close walking distance to Dupont Circle in Washington D.C., the program offers an inspiring, immersive public policy learning experience to an inaugural cohort of students entering the public policy and health care policy majors in Fall 2025.
Cornell Summer Program in Turin – Public Policy
Nestled between the Alps and the Mediterranean in the magnificent Piedmont region of northern Italy, the city of Turin provides an inspiring background to explore the causes and consequences of population change, the debates unfolding in Europe around these issues, and the policies intended to address them.
Cornell Spring Break Program in Ecuador – Sustainability Education Policy
Developed in partnership with Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) and as part of the Jeb E. Brooks School’s Global Policy Exchange Lab, this 4-credit collaborative online international learning (COIL) and community-based global learning (CBGL) course combines the feel of a faculty-led study abroad program with the experience of a semester-long exchange. As a Cornell student in this program, you’ll have the opportunity to not only conduct cutting-edge research with international peers, meet with policy makers and community leaders in Ecuador during a 7-day Spring Break fieldwork intensive, but also to host students from USFQ and NUS as they study how global policy challenges manifest right here in New York State.
Cornell-Wide Study Abroad
Explore the world with Cornell’s study abroad programs. Offered through the Office of Global Learning, these programs are ideal for students after their sophomore year. Students experience diverse cultures, economies, and government structures while fulfilling curriculum requirements.
